The Lombardy Castle is a naturally fortified site<br />located in the highest part of the city of Enna.<br />It is a complex good characterized by a long<br />constructive history still not fully interpreted.<br />Not very easily attainable and detached from its<br />urban context, the monument stands today in<br />a precarious state of conservation also because<br />lacking of a coherent program for new functions.<br />The study, founded on a thorough archival and<br />bibliographical investigation, has seen in the<br />execution of a complete and accurate survey, an<br />experimentation aimed at the recognition and<br />understanding of the built environment as an<br />essential requisite for any subsequent action.<br />At the same time, it has allowed to reflect on<br />the role of drawing in the restoration project,<br />also in the light of the opportunities offered by<br />technological innovation.
