One way to achieve greater utilization efficiency is operation of the plant at super critical (SC) or ultra super critical steam parameters (USC). However, achieving high parameters depends on use of new materials, which have better properties at high temperatures and pressures, use of new welding technologies and by solving the problem of corrosion.
