Summary: | Hydrolaetare schmidti (Cochran & Goin, 1959) is 1 of 3 species of a genus that has a disjunctive distribution in the Amazon basin and is considered to be rare. Herein, we present the new records of H. schmidti from Amapá State, Brazil. This new record establishes the fifth known occurrence for H. schmidti and fills a gap of about 295 km in the distribution of the species, between Ouanari (French Guiana) and Tumucumaque Mountains National Park, Anacui River, municipality of Serra do Navio (Amapá). |
