This study describes the 3D ultrasound examination of the brain in the newborn and infant which demonstrated some advantages when compared to the 2D examination.</p><p>Conclusions. The 3D ultrasound examination of the brain can actually reduce the examination time in newborn and infants when compared to the 2D examination.
