Summary:An invitation to reflect on audiovisual language as disseminator of brazilian popular culture, the objective of this work was provide an analysis that elucidates how the allegory present in the audiovisual series Hoje Dia de Maria was audio-visually realized and what it tells us. Therefore, a brief tour of areas such as Myth, Individual and Collective Memory, Allegory and Symbols will be addressed in order to implement, from the study, a brief analysis of the series, since the texture of these fields is responsible for all semantic load in audiovisual composition of the work.
