Description
Summary:In manufacture of cable production with insulation on the basis of high-molecular substances necessary productivity of technological lines is usually reached by application of a high-efficiency extrusion method. During formation of electric insulation from polymers and rubber mixes the temperature of an insulating cover of current-carrying cores changes from temperature of formation of polymer or vulcanization of a rubber mix to temperature in receiving device of a technological line for imposing of plastic insulation on a seeing-off and a cable or a technological line for imposing and vulcanization of rubber insulation on a cable and a wires (last temperature first of all should make impossible adhesion among themselves coils of the made cable or a wire among themselves). Process of cooling of cables or wires is of great importance for reception of qualitative production. Cooling device usually carry out in the form of the several consistently located baths filled with water which temperature gradually decreases from one bath to another. It prevents fast cooling of external layers of a surface of insulation that can cause formation in them of technological pressure. In this case intensive cooling external and slow cooling of inside layers of insulation can result not only in deformation, and even to mechanical damage of external layers, and also to loss solidity on border «insulation – a core» and (or) on border of the next layers of multilayered insulation. The heat-carrier type, its temperature, and also sequence and length of sites of the cooling device are defined depending on a design and speed of movement of a cooled product, and also a material and the sizes of elements of a product (a core and insulation). Article purpose is the review and the analysis of methods and devices for cooling of a layer of polymeric or rubber insulation of a cable product. It is resulted definitions of cable products (a cable, a wire, a cord) and classification of methods of their cooling after imposing an insulating layer from polymeric materials or rubber mixes on their core. It is shown that a limiting stage of manufacturing of cable products often is process of their cooling from temperature of formation of polymeric or rubber insulation to temperature in a zone of receiving device of a technological line. The analysis of the basic methods of cooling, their constructive realization, and also ways of an intensification of process of cooling is carried out.
