Description
Summary:Optic disc pit (ODP) is rare congenital cavitary anomaly of the optic disc. Serous detachment of macula is the most common complication of ODP and occurs in 25%–75% of these cases. Although various surgical techniques have been used for the treatment of ODP maculopathy; consensus still eludes as far as the optimal surgical approach is concerned. We herein report a case of ODP maculopathy in a young female treated successfully with vitrectomy, fovea sparing internal limiting membrane flap, and C3F8 tamponade.
