In August 2010 the Federal Court delivered to the Provincial Archive of Memory, a documentary series integrated by photographic negatives of detainees and kidnaped in the Information Department of the Police of the Province, where operated one of the Centers Clandestine Detention, Torture and Extermination (hereinafter CCDTyE) from the city of Cordoba, from approximately 1974 -1978. This collection has generated intense debate among those working in this site of memory, resulting in questions on the diverse uses, senses, and circulation conditions. In this regard, this article attempts to analyze the meanings and tensions that emerged with the looks to the images produced in the field and the singular experience of encounter of a son with the photography of his father detained there.
