The article investigates the scandal as the outcome of a radical metamorphosis of professional sport. Its starting point can be located in the Nineties, whith the coming of pay tv and the unruled liberalization of the players’ market. A sort of hidden regulation of the system took shape making more and more difficult combining sports ethics and market hegemony.http://journals.openedition.org/qds/977
