Cinema e Società (1948-1950)Marco Zilioli0Università di BolognaThis study focuses on Soviet cinema articles published within the magazine Società between 1948 and 1950, with particular concern to: Sergio Eisenstein by Emilio Scarlatti and Il cinema democratico a Mariánské Lázne, Charlie Chaplin nella critica sovietica, Il festival cinematografico di Karlovy Vary by Glauco Viazzi. They represent the first cinema articles in the magazine demonstrating the close link between cinema and the Marxist-Leninist ideology which was the magazine’s philosophical core. Italian cinema started to be a trending topic of discussion only in the late 1950 through Il 1913 e il cinema italiano by Umberto Barbaro. Subsequently, in 1952 the first study related to the Italian cinema of the time, which coincided with the sudden sunset of articles entirely dedicated to the cinema of the East in favor of an ever greater interest in the Italian film world.https://cinergie.unibo.it/article/view/8281SocietàItalian Communist Partymagazinesoviet cinemafestival
