Summary:Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Mesalazine combined with Bifico in the treatment of ulcerative colitis and its effects on oxidative stress and inflammatory factor. Methods: A total of 92 patients diagnosed with ulcerative colitis were selected and randomly divided into the observation group (46 cases) and control group (46 cases). The observation group was treated with Mesalazine combined with Bifico, while the control group was only given Mesalazine, and the duration of treatment was two months for them. At the end of treatment, the levels of oxidative stress markers including malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) and the levels of inflammatory factors including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) were measured and compared. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group; compared with before treatment, the levels of MDA and TNF-α were significantly decreased, while the levels of SOD and IL-10 were significantly increased after treatment in two groups; in addition, both the rates of the fall and rise were obviously bigger in the observation group. Conclusion: The efficacy of Mesalazine combined with Bifico in the treatment of ulcerative colitis is reliable, which has a satisfying effect on the regulation of oxidative stress and inflammation.
