In Lithuania, ITS is not widely used in passenger transportation, though its potential is great, particularly, taking into consideration the critical state of the capacity of public transport infrastructure. The paper considers the possibilities of increasing the effectiveness of public transport system ITS by increasing its interaction with private transport in the context of multimodal concept realization. Intelektinių transporto sistemų ir paslaugų (ITS) diegimas tiek viešajame, tiek privačiame transporte glaudžiai susijęs su multimodalinių procesų transporto sistemose (ypač miesto ir priemiesčių) plėtra. Iškilus eismo spūsčių problemoms, energijos vartojimo efektyvumo didinimo poreikiui, išmetamų į aplinką teršalų padidėjimui, neigiamam triukšmo poveikiui, daugelyje miestų pastaraisiais dešimtmečiais buvo pradėtos sparčiai taikyti multimodalinio transporto koncepcijos: integruoto bilieto sistema, infrastruktūra, pritaikyta palikti automobilius ar dviračius netoli viešojo transporto stočių miestų prieigose ir tęsti keliones viešuoju transportu (angl. „Park&Ride“, „Bike&Ride“), realaus-laiko informavimo sistema, universalusis projektavimas, automatizuotas eismo valdymas. Visos šios koncepcijos tapo dar veiksmingesnės diegiant multimodalines intelektines transporto sistemas ir paslaugas (ITS). Lietuvoje ITS keleiviniame transporte dar nepakankamai taikomos, nors turi didelį potencialą, ypač atsižvelgiant į viešosios transporto insfrastruktūros pralaidumo kritinę ribą. Šiame straipsnyje nagrinėjamos viešojo transporto sistemos ITS efektyvumo didinimo gerinant sąveiką su privačiu transportu galimybės multimodalinių koncepcijų diegimo kontekste. Remiamasi gerosios praktikos pavyzdžiu (Ciuricho miestas) ir galimybėmis taikyti ją Vilniuje, atsižvelgiant į ekspertinio tyrimo rezultatus.   Reikšminiai žodžiai: ITS, integruota bilietų sistema, „Park&Ride“ koncepcija, „Bike&Ride“ koncepcija. https://www.jbem.vgtu.lt/index.php/MLA/article/view/10633ITSintegrated ticket system‘Park&Ride’ concept‘Bike&Ride’ concept
