Resumo: O presente artigo tem como objeto principal a atuação da Arquidiocese de Belo Horizonte em relação à preservação dos bens culturais religiosos presentes em sua jurisdição episcopal, tendo como objetivo analisar as ações que a Igreja empreendeu para garantir a conservação do patrimônio cultural (1962-2010). Portanto, é possível pensar em algumas questões relevantes que auxiliarão no desenvolvimento dessa proposta: Quais são os instrumentos de salvaguarda do patrimônio utilizados pelo Memorial da Arquidiocese de Belo Horizonte? Qual o entendimento da Arquidiocese de Belo Horizonte sobre a preservação do patrimônio histórico, cultural e religioso? Como é a relação entre a Igreja Católica e os entes da Administração Pública na salvaguarda dos bens culturais? Palavras-chave: Bens culturais – Arquidiocese de Belo Horizonte - Preservação. Abstract: This present article has principal object the acting of the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte in relation the preservation of the religious cultural goods presents in your episcopal jurisdiction, has objective to analyze the actions than the church undertook for to guarantee the conservation of the cultural patrimony (1962-2010). Therefore, is possible to think in some relevant questions than will auxiliary in the development of this purpose: Which are the instruments of safeguard of the patrimony utilized by the Memorial of the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte? Which the understanding of the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte about the preservation of the historical patrimony, cultural and religious? How is the relation between the Catholic Church and the bodies of the Public Administration in the safeguard of the cultural goods?
