Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited was chosen as the case of study. Both qualitative and quantitative techniques were used. The findings of the research revealed that majority of the workers at Tobinco Company limited were male, besides that the workers fell within the active labour force and were mostly educated up to the tertiary level. The research also outlined quality, customer care, packaging, marketing and purchasing as some of the key areas or activities benchmarked by Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited. There were a lot of benefits that Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited derived from benchmarking their activities, some of these included elimination of guess work, improves productivity, competitive advantage and many others. Equally, the research also outlined some challenges Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited go through in benchmarking their activities, notably are difficulties in finding suitable partners, difficulties in comparing data, resource constrains (finance, time and expertise) and staff resistance. The research finally ended with a lot of good recommendations such as Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited should go beyond the source of Ghana and look for other suitable pharmaceutical companies to benchmark, since it is difficult finding suitable partners in Ghana especially because they all import without manufacturing. https://journals.adrri.org/index.php/adrrijass/article/view/419
