Green coffee and exercise are as Suitable treatment options for this condition. Objective: The aim was to evaluate the simultaneous effects of green coffee and combine training on body composition and glucose homeostasis in obese and overweight women. Methods: 26 overweight and obese women randomly divided into three green coffee, combined training and green coffee - combined training groups. Green coffee powder was taken daily as two 125 mg per day before lunch and dinner. Combine training was contain of six weeks, four session per week of progressive endurance- strength training. Insulin and fast blood glucose levels were taken using fasting blood 24 hour before and 48 hour after six weeks period and also, body composition variables were measured before and after period. Results: Weight, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, hip circumference, waist to hip ratio (WHR), subcutaneous fat amounts, insulin and HOMA levels were significantly decrease in all three groups that the reduction for all variables except waist circumference, WHR, insulin and HOMA were higher in green coffee- combine training group than two other groups (p<0/05). Blood glucose changes was not significant in any groups (p>0/05). Conclusion: Results indicated that maybe simultaneous usage of green coffee and combine training have synergistic effects on improving body composition.http://jmp.ir/article-1-1778-en.htmlgreen coffeecombine trainingbody compositionglucose homeostasis
