Direct Transformation of Fructose and Glucose to 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural in Ionic Liquids under Mild Conditions
Direct dehydration of fructose and glucose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) was studied using ionic liquids (ILs) without adding any catalysts.
