Summary:This paper descripts a new reference force system of 10 MN, which will be used for the modernization of the existing build-up force standard machine at Jilin institute of metrology. The background of the machine, the idea of the modernization and the function of the new reference force system were explained. The calibration of this new reference force system was done at NIM several times and the long-term stability was study based on many test data and results. Meanwhile the uniformity of two outputs from the transducer was compared. The different between ISO standard and Chinese calibration guideline is also be discussed.
