Description
Summary:The paper deals with the application of geodetic methods in archaeology and of historical monuments exploration to measuring of the archaeological site of the historical village church (Koscelek in the Nižná Myšľa village in the Košice-surrounding region). The possibility of utilizing geodetic methods in archaeology and historical monuments exploration and how these methods help to determine the historical architectonic styles, in which historical monuments were built, are the tasks of the paper. The geodetic positional and levelling measurements of the Koscelek are presented. From these measurements, together with archaeological explorations, it is possible to incorporate this church into wider group of village churches and so to find more analogies to this tangent church. The output data obtained of Koscelek in Nižná Myšla could be used for the GIS database of the archaeologically very interesting region of the East Slovakia.
