Summary: | Resulting from their purpose of becoming out-state spaces for the development of a new kind of interrelations and mediations between individuality and sociability, social movements are a pertinent context for a re-analysis on the senses of alterity and social mediations, as well as its links. The article proposes a (meta)theoretical analysis of the complexities of the dynamics for the development of alterities and alternativities from these social agents, considering its diversity, its different perspectives on social conflict and social change, and its emphasis on communication and visibility. Consequently, the text analyses some of the possible tendencies on their (hope of) becoming alter(n)ative alterities: hard but flexible and articulative -in summary: alterities in movement which are trying to become altera(c)tive movements.
