Description
Summary:Laryngocele is an abnormal dilatation of the laryngeal ventricular saccule that may extend into the subcutaneous tissues of the neck through the thyrohyoid membrane or confined to the endolarynx. The etiology is still unclear. Many laryngoceles are asymptomatic. An asymptomatic laryngocele appears and produces symptoms only as it enlarges or when it becomes infected. In this report, we present a 40-year-old female patient, which had an asymptomatic neck swelling for 20 years, referred for deep neck infection, dysphonia and dyspnea.
