Description
Summary:Felix Sartiaux, although not a trained archaeologist, manged to a vital contribution, during the three seasons of excavations he conducted at Foca, to our knowledge of ancient Phocis, a major city of the ancient Ionia and metropolis of Marseille. The plans of the site and its surroundings, as drafted by him, remain, even today, irreplaceable tools of works. It makes it all the more regrettable that historical events prevented him from completing his research.
