Methodology: Qualitative research with descriptive and interpretative scope used Ronald Anderson model 1995 which includes three components: Environmental, social and behavioral, as the basis for the collection and analysis of information. The total of women in the urban área who had not had the cytology were 540, out of which we applied the survey to 100, five semi-structured interviews and a focus group; We considered secondary information collected through specialized analytical records document the municipality to identify the environmental factors; this information was checked for emerging categories that allowed the interpretation of environmental, social and behavioral factors. Results: Environmental, social and behavioral factors associated with the use of uterine cervical cytology converge on the proximity to the health facility, timely care service and non-payment, do not ensure assistance procedure. What most affects the participation of this service are the real gynecologic cytology symptoms. Conclusion: We also conclude that the self care in these women is not the priority, given that they prioritize their family. The role of women is a fundamental pillar of the home as a caregiver, but is not as important their own health; there is also a sense of shame to the staff performing the test. Factors such as gender of the person performing the examination and the mood of health personnel when conducted the examination are factors that determine future monitoring.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HUPZ39j1G1u1hE4VrQs8Ep0NMuz7PWLo/viewenvironmentalsocialbehavioral factorsutilizationhealth servicescytologycervix
