Description
Summary:Currently, the production of horizontal condominiums popular in the cities of São Paulo, has shown significant growth. The role of the developer capital, selecting strategically subjective aspects that refer to standards of living associated with the elite, combined with the ease in financing, exercises significant interest to anyone who is looking to own a home. However, the small size of the homes, the distance at which they are inserted, in addition to the rules and conflicts that pervade everyday life in these spaces, belies the promises of a better ‘quality of life’ from the acquisition of a residence in a condominium. This article presents part of the analysis of research conducted through interviews with residents and future residents of popular condominiums closed in two Paulistas cities: Presidente Prudente and São Carlos.
