Description
Summary:This work aims at showing the iconographical basics of fictional poetics of Guzmán de Alfarache. In light of the initial engraving and of the pictorial stories embedded in the work, we discover that Mateo Alemán often introduces the esthetic of devices and Mannerist paintings in his novel. By virtue of this double influence, the two Parts of Guzmán establish with their audience (especially with the «discreto lector») a relationship that might induces a kinetic approach which allows to connect the short stories with the overall «vida» of Guzmán.
