Summary:In the photovoltaic power generation system, the boost circuit for maximum power tracking has problems such as insufficient circuit boosting capability and large input ripple, an improved boost circuit to embed switching inductance into parallel interleaved boost converter is proposed. The circuit has four switching modes in the same switching cycle, where there are three different working states, and the output voltage gain and input current ripple at different duty cycles are discussed by using the average cycle modeling method. The result of MATLAB simulation shows that the improved boost circuit has higher boosting ability than the traditional boost circuit. In dynamic input condition, it has faster tracking speed, more stable output power and smaller input current ripple, which is suitable for the maximum power point tracking.
