Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the analysis of active and passive voice constructions from the point of view of linguosemiotics. The purpose of this article is to detail the paradigm of active and passive voice constructions in terms of the correlation between the form and meaning of these structures. The subject of the research is the active and passive voice constructions of the English, German and Russian languages. Voice constructions are considered as complex linguistic signs. The correlation between the form and meaning of active and passive voice constructions from the point of view of symmetry and asymmetry is of particular interest. The study was carried out using the following methods: the method of semiotic analysis, continuous sampling, comparative and comparative analysis, the method of contextual analysis. As a result of the analysis, various types of symmetric active and passive voice constructions were identified, as well as structures characterized by a violation of the symmetry of the form and the meaning of the voice construction. Practical implications. The results of the study can be used in courses on linguistics, semiotics, theoretical grammar, theory and practice of translation.
