The species that have good or very good machining properties  are kobari, pasang jambe,  pasang beureum,  mahoni  daun lebar, pentadesma, cloropora,  eucalyptus,  meranti  batu,  pinus  I, mahoni,  mahagoni  and pinus  III.  Species such  as kelumpang,  entorolobium   and  cecropia  are consistenlly poorer.
