Diabetes Metab Syndr Obes. 2019;12:431–437.The Editor in Chief and Publisher of Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity: Targets and Therapy wish to retract the published article.Concerns were raised to the Editor in Chief of the level of similarity between the published article and another article titled IRS1- rs10498210 G/A and CCR5-59029 A/G polymorphisms in patients with type 2 diabetes in Kurdistan by the same authors in Molecular Genetics & GenomicMedicine; https://doi.org/10.1002/mgg3.631.Following an investigation, it was found the level of similarity between the two articles was unacceptable. It was also found there was an unacceptable level of image manipulation in Figures 1 and 2 of the Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity: Targets and Therapy article andthe Editor in Chief determined the conclusions in the study were no longer supported. The corresponding author was unable to provide a satisfactory response regarding the similarity between the two articles or the issues relating to the image manipulation.This retraction relates to this paper
