The improving infrastructure of Southern Africa generally, facilitating the conduct of conventionaloperations.</p><p>3. The establishment of openly Marxist regimesin Angola and Mocambique, facilitating access.</p><p>4. The experience gained as a. result of theoperations in support of the Movimento Popularde Llberracao de Angola (or Popular Movementfor the Liberation of Angola)</p><p>5. The increasingly supine and even hostile attitude of the West, the United States of America in particular</p><p>6. The increasingly active role of the Soviet Union and her allies.</p><p>7. The high losses among, and the relative lack of success of, terrorists operating against Rhodesia, resulting in a decrease in confidence inthis approach.</p><p>9.
