EVANGELICAL IDEAS, MOTIFS AND IMAGES IN VASILY ZHUKOVSKY'S "SACRED PROSE"

The article examines Zhukovsky’s prose of the 1840s, which was called "sacred" by the poet himself. The range of topical issues that preoccupied the poet included the image of Christ, the Holy sacraments, Man and God relationships, ostensibility of freedom.
