Although metastases to the skin are quite rare, it is estimated that they may be the first clinical manifestation of this disease in 0.7%– 12% of cases. Metastases to the skin are caused by adenocarcinoma (about 30%), squamous cell carcinoma (30%) and undifferentiated carcinoma (40%). Nasal tip metastases are extremely rare. They can be confused with more common skin problems, including non-melanoma skin cancers, rhinophyma, inflammatory tumors or infectious diseases.
