Summary:Choriocarcinoma is a malignant neoplasm arising usually from the placenta. It is characterized by early hematogenous metastasis. Due to early metastasis and chemoresistance, patients with choriocarcinoma may have a poor prognosis. In this article we present a clinical case of choriocarcinoma in a young woman after childbirth. Important aspects of the history, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and management of patients with choriocarcinoma have been presented.
