Summary:It is presented an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the scenario technique for requirements elicitation. Through an investigation conducted by a review of the literature, it is describing the results obtained of the opinions and experiments reported in 63 related work. According to this review, the scenario technique has significant advantages over other elicitation techniques, although it is not very practical in large and complicated projects. In problems of medium and small size, the scenarios facilitate to users a more precise comprehension of the situation to be solved, because their representation is more visual than technical. Among the disadvantages it is frequently cited its dependence on natural language and are difficult to document due the amount of text that is required.
