Summary:The present study shows a general analysis of the burnout syndrome, its origins, concepts, symptoms and measurement tools for them. Despite their scientific origins are linked to health personnel and teachers this syndrome affects professionals intense relationship with people today becoming a social disease, which is why the relationship of burnout is sought with aviation personnel. We conclude that this research will benefit the aviation industry both technological advancement and competition because this sector works 24 hours, 7 days a week; which leads to that human talent is available to perform work on rotating schedules and often over long periods of time.
