Morphology of genitalia of rove beetles of the subtribe Staphylinina (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Staphylininae) and its significance for the system of this taxon

New data on morphology of genital structures in 11 staphylinid species of genera Abemus Mulsant et Rey, 1876, Agelosus Sharp, 1889, Staphylinus Linnaeus, 1758, Creophilus Leach, 1819, Ontholestes Ganglbauer, 1895, Physetops Mannerheim, 1830 of the subtribe Staphylinina are presented. Morphological c...

Morphological classification of these genera is given after the analisys of endophallus and female genital tubes. The follow groups are distinguished: 1)  section “biadia” with the genus Staphylinus (presence of bititillator in aggoporial complex of endophallus and bent in dorsal direction aedeagus); 2)  section “triadia” unite Creophilus species-group (aggonoporial complex of endophallus consists of only bititillator; dorsal titillator brushes are located on separate appendices perpendicular to surface of endophallus; basalventral titillators have acute arch shape) and genera Abemus, Dinothenarus, Physetops, Ocypus, Tasgius, Agelosus, Platydracus, Emus, Ontholestes, Protogoerius (complex “triadophormia”: aggonoporial triada is sclerotized and often consists of rostral, weakly folded monotitillator and bititillator with 2  sometimes merged elongate sclerites; presensce of secondary aggonopore; endophallus is divided on proximal, medial and distal phallomeres; aedeagus has sclerotized or membranous structures in ventrobasal part). Composition of our Creophilus complex is the same as in D.J. Clarke. Complex “triadoformia” consists of 3  generiс groups: 1)  Abemus, Platydracus, Emus, Ontholestes; 2)  Dinothenarus, Physetops, Ocypus, Tasgius, Agelosus Protogoerius; 3)  group “Angulephallia” with 1  species Ocypus brunnipes. http://www.ssc-ras.ru/ckfinder/userfiles/files/7_Khachikov.pdfColeopteraStaphylinidaegenitalia morphologyendophallusvagina
