But if this is prolonged, may result from negative consequences both physically and emotionally. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of a specific exercise program on physical self-concept and levels of anxiety and depression in a group of pregnant women diagnosed with uncomplicated PROM. A clinical trial was performed on a sample of 50 women diagnosed with uncomplicated RPM at week 32-33 of gestation. In the intervention group performed aerobic exercise routine specifically designed for later (week 34 of gestation) to compare their levels of physical self and emotional discomfort (anxiety and depression) with a control group with similar characteristics. Results of this investigation show that, in pregnant women uncomplicated diagnostic PROM, a specific exercise program improves physical self-concept and levels of anxiety and depression (p <0.05). Despite recommended further research in this field, does not seem justified the conservative management of complete rest is usually performed in these patients. http://www.fuden.es/ponencia_detalle.cfm?ID_PONENCIA=84&ID_PONENCIA_INI=1Fetal membranes premature ruptureexercise therapyself conceptanxietydepression.
