<p>Este trabajo tiene por objeto analizar el desarrollo de las boticas en el Nuevo Reino de Granada durante las últimas décadas del dominio hispánico. La compleja preparación de los medicamentos fue uno de los aspectos más vigilados por las autoridades, especialmente bajo la política borbónica de énfasis en la salud y la higiene pública. El control ejercido durante las visitas oficiales permitió descubrir una serie de irregularidades en los títulos de los boticarios y las licencias, todo esto como resultado de la debilidad institucional y los vacíos de la norma.</p><p> </p><p><strong>THE PHARMACIES IN THE NEW KINGDOM OF GRENADE DURING THE LATE COLONIAL PERIOD: THE SLOW ROAD TO MODERNITY</strong></p><p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p>This paper aims to analyze the development of the pharmacies in the New Kingdom of Grenade during times of Hispanic dominance. The complex preparation of drugs was one of the most watched by the authorities, especially under the policy emphasis on public health and hygiene. The control exercised by the pharmacies allowed to discover a number of irregularities in the titles of the apothecaries and licensing, all as a result of institutional weaknesses and gaps in the standard.</p>
