Divided into three sections, the first looks to the origin of the term “Science diplomacy”, its definition and use as an instrument of foreign policy. The next section, it brings forward the Brazilian perspective of Science diplomacy, represented by the concept of “Innovation Diplomacy”, as proposal and way of insertion of the Country in the international context of Scientific Diplomacy.
