Analysis of the organizational dimensions of a Counseling and Psychological Service

Objective: to know and analyze the structural and contextual dimensions of a Counseling and Psychological Service in the state of Sao Paulo. Methods: interpretative study with data collected through semi-structured interviews. The study was approved by the University of Sao Paulo at Ribeirao Preto College of Nursing Ethics Committee. The subjects were 14 employees who worked at CAPS and agreed to participate. In order to analyze data, it was used thematic analysis. Results: the relationship between the multidisciplinary team and the service is good, however, facing some difficulties. The Network of Mental Health requires integration to be effective to the actual demand. Final Considerations: to ensure integral care, it is important to establish strategies to assure the strengthening of community and social care network, the articulation with the basic health units and the expansion of policies to family members.
