Description

Healthcare based on the treatment with biological agents may be a result of the lack of understanding of workplace health promotion (WHP). WHP is still a new concept that requires deepening; nevertheless, it is expected to give way to properly managed health and safety programs, reduced absenteeism, increased productivity, reduced healthcare costs, reduced legal problems, and safe and healthy work environments. The World Health Organization ratified, in its Workers Health Plan, the need to promote health, well-being, and healthy work at the workplace, in addition to promoting the protective factors against noncommunicable diseases and to extend access to risk protection.
