Summary:This paper considers the peculiarities of the motif’s structure in the novel of Sh. lduatulin “Gorod Brezhnev” “THE CITY OF BREZHNEV”. An assumption is made that the dominating motives are the motives of the crime, guilt and punishment, which are solved by the peculiarities of the language, comparative characteristics, dialog. The main supposition is linked with the suggestion that the author’s view is not dominating, the plot is defined by the subject views of the heroes, which have their own voices in the narrative, which is constructed from the episodes.
