In this process, user's question became more mature, according to retrieved results. In addition, on the side of the information retrieval system, there are some processes that could not be realized, unless by user. Practically, this issue, is egregious in “Interaction” -i.e. process of user connection to other system elements- and in “Relevance judgment”. This paper had a glance to existence of “Interaction” in information retrieval, in first. Then the tradition model of information retrieval and its strenght and weak points were reviewed. Finally, the current models of interactive information retrieval includes: Belkin episodic model, Ingwersen cognitive model, Sarasevic stratified model, and Spinks interactive feedback model were elucidated.http://jipm.irandoc.ac.ir/browse.php?a_code=A-10-1118-42&slc_lang=en&sid=1Information retrieval traditional model of information retrieval information retrieval interaction Belkin episodic model Ingwersen cognitive model Sarasevic stratified model
