Existence of solutions for a class of nonlinear degenerate elliptic equations

<p/> <p>In this paper we prove a existence result for solution to a class of nonlinear degenerate elliptic equation associated with a class of partial differential operators of the form <inline-formula><graphic file="1029-242X-2002-738217-i1.gif"/></inline-formula>where <inline-formula><graphic file="1029-242X-2002-738217-i2.gif"/></inline-formula> are functions satisfying suitable hypotheses. Here the operator <inline-formula><graphic file="1029-242X-2002-738217-i3.gif"/></inline-formula> is not uniformly elliptic, but is assume that the following condition is true <inline-formula><graphic file="1029-242X-2002-738217-i4.gif"/></inline-formula>where <inline-formula><graphic file="1029-242X-2002-738217-i5.gif"/></inline-formula> is a weight function.</p>
