Summary:The paper describes land utilization as a segment of the spatial organization of the rural settlements of Bujačić, Klinci and Petnica through the comparative analysis of its structure. The position of these villages in Western Serbia, on the edge zone of the regional center of Valjevo, was greatly reflected the usage of area. The first part of the paper emphasizes the manner of agricultural land utilization. According to standing classes and their local diffusion, the land types presented land as the potential of the development. According to the cadastre classes and cultures, the structure analysis of agricultural land points to the existing way of land utilization, privileges/ potentials, regularities and possibilities of advancing the current situation. In other words, it points to the protection holding up further land degradations as natural resource in keeping with the capacity of area and economic interests of the local population, similarities and differences among some villages as well as to the local characteristics. We also presented some elements important for the complete valuation of land utilization in the investigated area.
