Description
Summary:The review and analysis of the problem on coping strategies of a personality are presented in the article. The concept of coping and coping strategies in the writings of present day psychologists is substantiated. It is shown that the approaches to the study of overcoming behavior (psychodynamic, cognitive and motivational, dispositional, resourceful, proactive, etc.) are guided predominantly either situational or subjective criterion for identifying this psychological phenomenon. It is proved that the development of personality takes place throughout his life, and the active formation of a personality begins from childhood and continues until the mature age. It is proved that at different age stages the formation of coping strategies will be influenced by various personality-based factors. It is concluded that since youthful age, when theoretical thinking is formed, the value-semantic sphere andthe identity of the personality, the structures of the overcoming behavior become more stable and are under the influence of certain, already formed personality properties of a person. It is established that a personality is always potentially active and decides what characteristics and objective conditions of the situation will be made own resources. It is proved that the use of an integral approach to understanding the psychological nature of coping strategies involves taking into account the preconditions for their formation: the influence of the personality and the specifics of the situation being subjectively perceived by a personality and where the emotionally intense activities and the changes of a personality take place.
