Summary:This paper is devoted to the analysis of promotional activates undertaken by the authorities of Silesian voivodeship designed to encourage participation in the celebration of Industrial Monuments Route of Silesia – “Industriada 2014”. In order to do this, a survey was conducted among participants of this event. The purpose of the survey was to determinate the effectiveness of each promotion measure that was applied in this case, and the comparison of the achieved results with data published by the event organizers.
