| Summary: | <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa suatu SMA N di Jekulo dengan menerapkan metode praktikum berbasis masalah. Metode pelaksanaannya dengan desain control group pretest postest, yaitu penelitian dengan melihat perbedaan hasil pretest maupun postest antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA sebanyak 4 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapat XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis uji perbedaan rata-rata hasil postest kelas eksperimen menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dibanding kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata nilai postest yaitu 76,8 sedangkan kelas kontrol yaitu 70. Uji normalitas Gain pada hasil belajar kognitif siswa menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih baik dalam keterampilan proses sains sebesar 0,48 dan kelas kontrol peningkatannya sebesar 0,35 dengan kriteria sedang. Tingkat ketercapaian indikator keterampilan proses sains menurut analisis deskriptif menunjukkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen sangat baik yaitu 91,12%. Menurut analisis koefisien determinasi diperoleh hasil bahwa penelitian ini berkontribusi sebesar 37,21% dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut disimpulkan bahwa penerapan praktikum berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.</p><p>This study aims to determine the improvement of science process skills of high school students in Jekulo by applying the method of problem based practicum. This study is done with the design of pretest and posttest group design, by reviewing at the results of the pretest and posttest differences between the experimental and control classes. The study population was class XI IPA as many as 4 classes. Sampling with purposive sampling technique in order to get XI IPA 3 as an experimental class and XI IPA 2 as the control class. Analysis of the average difference in posttest of experimental class showed better results than the control class. Experimental class obtained the verage is 76.8 while the value posttest in control class is 70. Gain Normality Test on students' cognitive learning outcomes showed that the experimental class has increased better in science process skills of 0.48 and grade control increase of 0.35 with moderate criteria. The level of achievement in indicator science process skills according to descriptive analysis shows the average grade is very good is 91.12%. According to the determination coefficient analysis showed that the study accounted for 37.21% in enhancing science process skills of students. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the application of problem based practicum can improve students' science process skills.</p>
