Summary: | Over the past decades the Kuban Subtropical Botanical Garden has paid special attention to shade-enduring ground cover graminifolious plants. Species and garden forms of Liriope Lour. and Ophiopogon Ker Gawl. were distinguished as the most perspective. Many of them have gone through testing and were introduced into the practice of decorative gardening of the Russian Black Sea coast. At present, there are 19 species, 6 garden forms and 10 unidentified samples of Liriope and Ophiopogon in the collection of the Botanical Garden. |
