Description
Summary:Benign metastasizing leiomyoma (BML) is rare nosological case, which is characterized by the presence of histologicaly benign multiple smooth muscle tumors in lungs which occur in women being operated on for uterus leiomyoma or in those who have this tumor on the moment of examination. Aim of study: estimation of histological and immunohistochemical features of metastatic smooth muscle tumors in lungs and primary tumors of uterus. Specimens of lung tissue which contain metastatic tumors and resected submucosal nodes were taken for investigation. The results show similar histological structure and immunohistochemical features of BML and submucosal tumors of uterus, and lung dissemination of it, against the background of retention of low proliferative activity and high sensitivity to progesterone.
