This article presents an analysis of the arguments of Schopenhauer against using the feature of poetic justice, in addition to presenting, in general, the thesis of Schopenhauer on the genre of tragedy in relation to his philosophy. For Schopenhauer, the real tragedy meaning lies in the profound understanding that heroes do not atone for the mistakes made in the dramatic action, but they pay with the characteristic of the genre end fatalism, by itself original sin, that is, the blame for the very existence.https://periodicos.ufsm.br/voluntas/article/view/33792TragédiaJustiça PoéticaPecado Original
